I like characters that have the less fans from the main characters.
Takashi Kawamura - Prince of Tennis
Ryuu - Special A.

I like characters that just look like a bad-ass but they're awesome. =3
Maebara Keiichi - Higurashi

well, I usually like... androgynous characters and sometimes cross-dressers *shot* XD I also judge characters by their voice (in anime) I have a voice fetish :3
I'm pretty scrutinising when it comes to female characters, but what can you say? I guess a lot of people just don't like wussy pretty-but-useless female characters ... :\

I like... guys with long hairrrr :DDD I don't usually like long-haired guys in real life... probably because I haven't seen a good looking one yet xD

But yeah, girly-looking guys, guy-ish looking girls (SHUTUP I KNOW I'M WEIRD)

I'm not a big fan of the thigh high socks/miniskirt combo XD

I like eccentric side characters, like Tsuruya <3

Characters who have personalities like LAVI from D. Gray Man ftw!

- Sweet with a hidden agenda [Rena Ryuuguu - Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni]
- Mischevious and energetic [Tamayo Kizuki - Angelic Layer]
- Loud and a bit odd but very sweet [Minori Kushieda - ToraDora!]

I also have a thing for the ones that have the smallest fanbase, haha.

In looks
- Blonde guys [sometimes the dark red haired guys but those are rare =(]
- Redheaded / light brown haired girls

These two girls look like twins I think but I love this hairstyle on a girl. Short and sweet with alot of spunk.

It's not too long but it's not too short. Just perfect in my eyes.

Tbh, I prefer alot of the same thing in real life. I prefer my short, red hair and I like a guy with the same length as on the Shuichi pic [but with dark hair like Hiro ;3]

And I love goth/punk-ish characters! 8D Like Amu from Shugo Chara, Misa from Death Note (her clothes <3) and half of the NANA cast! <3 (Nana, Ren, Nobu, Shin, Misato <3)

With any character, most things go...
I dont like the stuck up/popular type unless they have a hilarious catchphrase...
But other than that it depends on the character.
I think that the personality makes the character, not the looks..

As for personality, it's usually if they make me laugh, or feel really sorry for them. T^T

I kinda don't like characters who go like "I'll protect you." all the time. -_-' I mean sometimes it's romantic, but some characters really overuse it. And I don't really like the selfless girls who are like "Oh I'm so sorry to trouble you!" when they're bringing tea or something. Like Honda Tohru for example. (Sorry to the fans)
