Let's start by the basics!

- Make sure you have a microphone.
preferably one with decent quality. Recording with your phone, camera or laptop mic isn't always recommended

- Headphones are recommended also.
For mixing purposes. It's easier to hear what you have done that way.

- Have something to record your voice.
You don't need to have the best recording program in the world. You can download Audacity, it's completely free, really easy to understand, and it has GREAT sound quality. There are various effects with it also.

- Have some kind of video editing sofware.
It's okay if you don't have sony vegas or something. Windows Movie Maker comes with every computer and it's great.

Okay. Now that you have most of what you need to fandub, you can finally start.

1. If you have a karaoke to sing with here is what you do:
- You open Audacity
- You simply drag your mp3 track into Audacity
- Then you are ready to record. Just press the big red button :3
- Once you are done and fully happy with the result go to file>export as .wav
Now you should be done with the recording

2. Mixing your vocals with a video
- Open up Windows Movie Maker
- Drag the video you have (Or that you have extracted from a DVD) into Windows Movie Maker
- Now drag the vocals/song you have saved before into it as well
- Now put the video in the timeline, and make sure it's muted
- Put your audio track in the audio place, right under the video
- Make sure it syncs properly, you can edit it by making the clip shorter, the audio longer etc...
- Keep syncing it until you are FULLY satisfied. You never want to post things you are not satisfied with.

3. Saving the video
- Once you're done and satisfied with everything click on "Save to my computer"
- try to save it as best quality as you possibly can, if not just use the settings that say "Use the settings that are best for my computer" or something like that.
- Name your file, then press save.

There you have it! Your video Smile

If you guys have ANY questions concerning something feel free to post a topic and I'll be glad to help you out.
