| Ahhh! I will help you! ^^
What I do is that I practice... yes, the famous "PRACTICE PRACTICE D:<" thing. it DOES work, trust me. XD
Don't push or force your voice out, that's what people usually do when trying to increase their vocal ranges. Which is a bad thing to do because you strain your voice.
What you do is that you either take a song that's a tiny bit higher than your normal singing voice, or a bit lower...which ever you want and you practice and practice (Of course, it MIGHT not sound good, but with PRACTICE <- yes again XD it will sound better and better) then after you're done and perfectly on pitch and content with what you have accomplished you go for a higher/lower song than before and practice practice until satisfactory.
It's a long process but I do it all the time ^^ because I want to keep my somewhat "big" vocal range :3
Practicing scales are also REALLY helpful, I know they're boring but they work ^^
HAVE CONFIDENCE! <- This is important.
anyways I hope this helped! if you have other questions don't hesitate to ask! :3 _________________ ♥ Click on the stalking pic to visit my youtube channel! ♥

| Oh oh! I know a song like that!
Last Night, Good Night.
If you can do that, you either have a really high voice or an amazing range. Dude. I died yesterday trying to sing that song. The door to the garden was open and it was so horrible that my neighbour came checking if I was alright. x'D
I can't believe some people can actually sing that song right... O. I'm gonna practice though! I WILL be able to sing it! >.< Or at least I hope so. (A) |

| Singing from your diaphragm is also a good way of exercising. I'm still practicing that myself, and it's a little hard to get use to but.. I've heard it makes your voice sound A LOT better. (I'm trying it 'O') |

| "You have to keep practicing your scales everyday and at the same time, practice the lower parts of your register. A "good" range has height, depth and width. Height refers to your high notes, depth are your lower notes and width are the dynamics that your voice can make."
This is told me by a Vocal Coach on Youtube On his Channel are standing Vocal Lessons and you can ask him anything about it http://www.youtube.com/user/lloyd614 |

| xDD. The thing is that I can hit the notes but it's all in falsetto/head voice. It doesn't sound like me so I don't really like it. I mainly just want to work on increasing my chest voice range but I heard that singing in high chest voice is VERY bad for your vocal chords so I try not to stress it but it fustrates me when i see people can hit HIGH chest notes. Dx. I'm doing scales and all that jazz and it does help. And I'm also singing songs in higher pitches(and turning up the instrumental pitch so it would suit it) every now and then. That seems to work a little too so thanks for the advice xD. i guess there's no shortcut to increasing vocal range. Also, I don't know what you mean by diaphragm. I can NEVER tell if i'm singing in it or not. I heard that it's like singing from your stomach and the truth is, I've been doing that for quite a while. But I also heard that if you feel a vibration in your chest then you're not singing in your chest voice so I'm extremely confused 8DDD. |

| I don't know about the vibrations in your chest thing, but you should also keep practicing your head voice too. If you practice your head voice a lot and make it stronger, it is possible to make your head voice sound ALMOST as strong as your chest voice, I know some people that sing in their head voice and its VERY HARD to tell that it's not in their chest voice! Also, this happened to me personally OTL. I practiced my belting and chest voice a lot and neglected my head voice, and now I have a bigger chest voice range but my head voice range isn't as good as before D:
So yeah, keep practicing your head voice/falsetto too! ^^ |

| I agree with that.
My headvoice is like UUUUUUBER strong, but my chest voice = not existent.
I should practice with my chest voice more OTL'' _________________ ♥ Click on the stalking pic to visit my youtube channel! ♥ |

| Dunno if this goes here, :S
But, does anyone know what... the average note is for a belt (sustained note)? I guess average isn't the right word but... What note would be considered /good/ and what /normal/? If we don't consider professional vocal training.
Oh, and does anyone know how to accurately measure vocal range/what an average range is (how many octaves) ? |

| More and more songs these days require only chest voices/belting, so that's a problem :S |

| What iv'e done was.. taking songs that a little bit too high for you, and trying slowly reach them, every day a bit :] its importent to drink so your throat wont be dry. or els it will damage it. You MUST warm up your throat and voice befor singing ANYTHING. And, when you sing, in my oppinion and thats the way it worked on me is sing through your stomach, not throat. Sing through your throat only if you need reach veeeery veeeery high notes.
Hope i helped.
Oh, and the most importent, find ur self everyday a bit time to practice, even for 30 mins :] |

| Wow.. Thanks for the comments ^o^.
Well, guess the only thing I can do now is practice xD;;. The problem is that my head voice is powerful... it's just that it doesn't sound natural. My falsetto sounds natural and more similar to my chest voice but some people call falsettos "Fake head voice" and "a branch of the head voice" for a reason. It's weak Dx. I guess I can try practicing my falsetto over and over until it starts becoming stronger. |
