Day job / school?

Everyone has to have a job or is at school otherwise life would be boring so how are things going for you right now?

For me, I'm currently a full time college student in my first year of Art&Design Portfolio. I work in a chip shop / convenience store in order to pay for bus fares and lunch there but that's all it really pays for. The college give me an EMA which is when they give us money for attending which will help in us buying everyday items and college study materials [or holidays...yeah, holidays]. I also babysit from time to time and do art pieces for people [I'M GETTING PAID TO DO ART NOW WAHAHAHA]

How many more years do you have to go, AmyAnn? It must be a fun program ^^ And art commissions!! Awesome

I just finished my 3rd year at the University of Toronto...and jeez, does UofT gobble up your cash real fast! Textbooks/commuting/course fees - gahh the list is endless. And I stayed on campus this year, so more money to spill >.<

I also teach piano part time at a music school. Only on the weekends though, because school is eating away my time. I hope to teach more hours in the summer and save up for 4th yr. 'Tis fun to teach piano, but zomg the little ones can be such a pain sometimes. O.o

I'm doing this year but I could have applied for university last year I was told. My lecturer is going to make sure that I get into either Cumbria or Bournemouth [I think] for the August 2011 openings so I'm just going to do an extra year to get my portfolio ready.

You should fly over here and teach me piano, I really wanna learn an instrument but I suck at them all.

taking your time is always good...your portfolio will be even better! Good luck in getting into uni! I rushed into things and took too many courses this year *cries*

aww yesh, I'd love to teach you piano! it's not that hard to get started. And there's so much sheet music out there!! popular, jazz, classical, anime/game music...it's all good to learn.

I'm in year 10 at school, in Australia we don't have the sophomore/freshman/senior/whatever ranking thing so I have no idea :\

At our school, they send year 9 out for a year (to get rid of them xD) to the country, where we board for a whole year and do hardcore outdoorsy stuff like hike and camp and do looong runs and fun stuff. I'm sure I've had enough sport for my whole entire life D:
It was hard at first but at the end of the year no one wanted to leave xD
BUT MY POINT IS, I've had no time to look for a part-time job, and I really need money D: I really want to teach piano too xD I think you have to be at least past 8th grade to teach, and I'm hopefully doing my AMUSA this year ^^
But I'm too lazy xD haha

I'm a highschool drop out...

so I go to an adult education school to get my diploma.

I don't wanna go into details, but yeah..
I had a pretty horrible school life =__=

In Holland, we have to so this thing called Maatschappelijke Stage. I don't know how to say it in English, but basically we have to do benevolence, which we call "vrijwilligerswerk", which is pretty damn ironic, since "vrijwillig" means voluntary, but we hàve to do it in order to pass! So it's not voluntary at all. x'D

But for this Maatschappelijke Stage, I get to write articles for the youth page of our local newspaper, and three guesses what my first article will be about...

VOCALOID! 8D

Now where I live, very few people have ever heard of Vocaloid, let alone listened to it, so I'm personally going to introduce it to the youngsters in my hometown! Yaaay! =D Okay, so I wont get paid for it or anything, but it's better than washing elderly people right? x'D

That's awesome! You have a teacher that likes vocaloid! I thinka lot of people don't like the idea of singing computerprograms, but they do like the music... Like my friend, I made her listen to some songs and she said she hated it. Later when I was at her place I was browsing vocaloid videos on youtube on her laptop, and then she said she didn't hate it anymore, but she wouldn't listen it by herself. Later on msn I saw she was listening to vocaloid songs, so I confronted her, and then she said "Yeah, I'm listening toit, but I wouldn't put it on my iPod." Very next day at school she was listening to Len. ON HER IPOD! x'D

... she got sucked in huh xD I'm still in the very early stages of introducing my friends to vocaloids 8DDD If only my teachers were that cool xD I go to a private school and they're all too... formal O_O

Well. I'm going to school and I'm in what we call here Havo 3. My third high school year ^^ On Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday I deliver the paper. I always listening to my iPod when I'm doing that. But I don't know where to download Vocaloid so I can't listen to Vocaloid -goes crazy-
Oh! 2 or 3 times in the month do I have to babysit on 6.30 in the MORNING! I"m always very grumpy when I'm back at home =( My mom doesn't like it but it pays well.

But yeah, getting up early sucks In year 8 i had to get up at 5 every friday morning to go Rowing in the cold dark morning in cold dark gross river water.
